In the book, Becoming the Obvious Choice, the authors talk about eating more. But they are not talking about food. They are talking about devouring education.
Learning as much as you can. But it goes beyond learning…
Learning by itself is useless, unless you take the knowledge you learn and create a result with that information. Let’s take a look at a diet book, if you read the book you have certainly learned something but until you take that knowledge and create the weight loss with the ideas you find in the book, you might have well not even have read the book.
Do you take things into your own hands? Do you take responsibility for problems you find and then take action to correct these problems?
Action orientation is a key to the well developed person and further more you place yourself in the position of becoming the obvious choice.
The authors also explore focus and what you focus on, when you focus on things that are out of your control, you will end up losing control. But when you concentrate your actions on things you do have control over you will start to grow.
What do you have control over?
It is my opinion that we only have control over two things:
1. Our Thoughts
2. Our Actions
That is it!
When you keep your thoughts on what you want and then focus your actions on attaining what you want, it will not be long before you bring your desire into your reality!
Be thankful for what you have. If you can not be happy with what you have then you won’t be happy with anything else you get.
It has been said that if people end up with a windfall fortune, their personality simply expands. Meaning if you are mean without money, you simply become meaner.
If you are a spend thrift with a little money, you simply spend more money.
If you are happy, it will simply make you happier.
Spend some time documenting what you are grateful for. A great place to do that is at http://www.gratitudelog.com/lifetosuccess , this is where I go to write down what I am grateful for. It is a great outlet.
As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,
