3 Parts to Self-Concept for Peak Performance

When you are dealing with you self concept it is extremely important to know how these 3 parts work together and how when you start to habitually work positively with these 3 parts of your self concept, you can start to move your life in a positive and productive upward spiral. When we start to change the picture we have of ourselves in our mind, we start to take action on this “new” picture and in return we start to develop the “new” habits that will take us off the failure path and on to the upward path of success.

Brian Tracy does a great job of explaining how the 3 components of the self concept work together and how when we start to take habitual control of these 3 components, we can start to change the results we are currently experiencing in our lives.

It is important that we keep in mind that just holding the picture in our minds is NOT enough to make lasting change in our lives. Taking forward positive ACTION on this picture of our self concept is necessary to make this “NEW” picture a habitual way of life for us. Without the action, there can be no change in results.

3. Take ACTION!! Without Action there will be no lasting change!!

4. Pay attention to the limiting thoughts that occur when you start to take this different course of action, these are the true thoughts that are limiting your change. Once you can identify these limiting thoughts you can start to change them and the actions will continue until the “NEW” habit is in place.
