If you missed Part 1, please check that out right here >>> http://www.lifetosuccess.com/2014/07/26/what-any-person-that-is-looking-for-success-should-know-part-1/
So far, we have learned that our subconscious thoughts create our actions and our actions produce our results. This is a tricky subject because we have to be very conscious of our thinking. When we start to become conscious of our thinking, we will start to become aware of the thoughts that are holding us back. This does not make us bad people, our subconscious thoughts are a natural way of our mind to keep us “safe”.
The problem is that when we live without pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones, we do not grow!! And if we do not grow, we actually start to shrink, we end up not getting the results that we seek and we end up becoming a person close to giving up. And we actually start to look at outside influences as the reason for our lack of success.
The excuses range from the economy to our boss doesn’t understand or the government’s taxes are too high…
The problem with that way of thinking is that we succeed or fail based on things outside of us, we relinquish our power to circumstances and people that we have NO control over.
So our thoughts and how we think about things are extremely important, the better quality thinking leads to better actions which lead to better results!!
Let’s look at this a little… How do our thoughts and the questions we ask ourselves make our lives better?
When we improve the quality of our questions, we end up getting better answers and some of our subconscious thoughts will start to surface.
“Why does my boss always do….?” compared to “What can I do to better serve the company that I work for?”
Where does the power of these two questions exist?
In the first question, the power exist with your boss which is completely out of your control.
While the second questions, the control is squarely on your shoulders.
The first question requires something outside of you to change in order for you to be happy… you’ll be very unhappy with that form of questioning.
With the second question, you are in control. You can change your thinking and you can change your actions which will change your results.
When you start to ask questions about what you can do, you will start to have some of those subconscious thoughts bubble up. When this happens, you need to become aware of these thoughts, this is the opportunity for you to capture the underlying thinking that IS HOLDING you back.
“I am not good enough for that to happen…”
“Money is the root of all evil.”
“I will never be able to get out of this…”
Thoughts like these were developed by you to keep you safe at some point in your life. Most of these thoughts were handed down by the people who were larger then life in your eyes and you simply accepted them as fact and they have been rolling around in your head since that point when heard it.
When you “catch” one of these “limiting thoughts”, it is a very liberating moment, because you now have to power to replace that thought with another that serves you instead of hindering you.
But this will only happen when you start to ask better quality questions about yourself.
When you make asking better quality questions a habitual way of thinking, you will start to see the quality of your life to increase.
In the next post in this series, we will be looking at how taking your “new” thoughts to “action” will rapidly increase the results that you seek.
As Always, Here’s to Your LifetoSuccess,
