Telecommuting Jobs: Business or Job?
One of the many lures that some individuals looking
for telecommuting jobs get sucked into is that of the business
opportunity. With the advent of the internet, there are now more and
more jobs that are offered throughout the web to those that are
interested in finding them. But, what is important for you to consider
is the difference between a job and a business. Both of these
opportunities are great things if they work out for you. But, many that
are looking for a job do not realize what a business opportunity offers
and what it can cost them.
The Job
A job is an employment opportunity in which you will work under the
direction of someone else, to earn a paycheck from them for completing
the necessary tasks. In this case, you should never have to pay for a
job, pay for information on how to get a job and you should never have
to purchase things (unless your job requires specific tools.) Many
times, these jobs allow you to take full advantage of company
opportunities including benefits. You may even be considered an
independent contractor in which case you are about half way between that
of a business and a job. In this case, you are hired to perform
specific work and paid for it, but not necessary on a long term program.
The Business
If you are looking for a business opportunity, this is something
completely different. In this case, you can count on having to pay out
some money to get started. You may have to purchase products and to set
up your business. In this case, the business’s success is truly up to
you and to what you do to make it happen. While it still may be a
telecommuting opportunity in which you work from home, it is more than
likely going to require your own investment of money and time to make it
really work.
Again, either the business or the job is a good choice as long as what
you do is something that you look forward to and want to do. If you are
looking to build something for yourself, then a business is what you are
looking for. If you are looking for a job in which you just get a
paycheck for doing the work put in front of you, then a job is more of
the route to take. |
